I am of course trying to find as less junk food and candy type of items as possible since you can often find them for under a dollar I believe. As well, this is like the argument people have where usually things for under a dollar are always in a way bad for you when it comes to food. But for the sake of documentation variety I felt this was actually a good example of bargain hunting in general.
I first saw this Hershey marshmallow treat at one store where it indicated that it was on clearance for 69 cents. The original price was supposed to be $1.49. This is usually a great time to find Christmas related items for very cheap and so I thought I was going to use this store and price point for the sake of the documentation.
Funny enough, I walk into a different store and I had to do a double take as it looked like the very same candy was in-front of me for even cheaper at 50 cents as you can see.
It’s kind of funny as in this store it indicated that the regular retail price was $1.99. While the clearance price is definitely cheaper, it kind of demonstrates you can’t necessarily rely on what the store tells you in regards to how much you are saving to decide if it is a buy without thinking type of deal.
